Joseph Novajosky, Bridgeport, Conn., died Tuesday at Astoria Park Nursing Home.
Born in Sturges, son of the late Andrew and Julia Sewar Novajosky, he was a graduate of Archbald High School. After high school graduation, he moved to Bridgeport, where he was employed before retirement as a short-order cook in the Lane Diner and the Broadway Diner. He was a member of St. Augustine's Cathedral, Bridgeport, and he was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He was a kind-hearted uncle who cherished spending time with his siblings and nieces and nephews.
Surviving are a sister, Agnes Kavulich, Sturges; a brother, Stephen Novajosky and wife, Mary, Peckville; three nephews, George Kavulich Jr. and wife, Ann; Andrew Kavulich and wife, Connie; and Steven Novajosky Jr. and wife, Sue; three nieces, Jule Angeli and husband, Robert; Carol Moreck and husband, Richard; and Beverly McMorran and husband, Kevin; great-nieces and great-nephews; and a great-great-nephew.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Estock; a sister, Mary Narbud; and a brother, John Estock.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick's Church. Interment, St. Joseph Cemetery, Montdale.
