Pauline R. Zammuto, age 50, of Billerica formerly of Woburn passed away August 19th, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington following a courageous battle with ALS. She was the beloved wife of Daniel T. Zammuto and together they shared nearly 27 years of marriage. Born in Malden she was the daughter of the late Richard J. and Margaret M. (Keating) McLaughlin.
Pauline was raised and educated in Woburn and was a 1981 graduate of Woburn High School. She went on to further her education at Bunker Hill Community College and then at UMASS Boston earning her degree in Social Services. She worked for several years in her field prior to starting her family. Pauline was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a person of strong faith and was very active in her church. She faced her disease head on and was always encouraging and an inspiration to her family. Her children considered her their Angel.
Pauline enjoyed watching old television shows and was quite the T.V. trivia buff. She was very nostalgic and enjoyed sharing past memories with friends and family. She also loved reading and was always active on her computer, especially with Facebook.
In addition to her late parents, Pauline is predeceased by two brothers, the late Christopher and John McLaughlin.
She is survived by her children; Tina Zammuto and Vanessa Zammuto both of Billerica, Daniel Zammuto Jr. of Westford, Melanie Zammuto and Thomas Zammuto both of Billerica. She was the cherished sister of Richard McLaughlin and his wife Paula of Woburn, David McLaughlin and his wife Janet of FL, Ann Martin and her husband Donald of Woburn, Elaine Berlandi and her husband John of Townsend, Peggy Mahar and her husband Robert of Billerica. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and in-laws.
A funeral service will be conducted in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Friday, August 22nd, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held on Thursday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
