William A. Felske, Jr., 91

William A. Felske, Jr., age 91, of Norton, formerly of Foxboro and Mansfield passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Christine (Johanson) Felske to whom he was wed on July 27, 1946.
Born in Waterbury, CT on July 7, 1923, he was a loving son of the late William A., Sr. and Helen (Morgan) Felske. Bill spent his early childhood in Waterbury; his family later moved to Cheshire where he was educated, graduating from Hamden High School in 1941. He was a 1943 graduate of Bentley College in Boston. After graduation, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during WWII and was honorably discharged from duty on April 22, 1946, with the rank of Technician Third Grade.
Prior to his retirement, Bill had been employed at the Butler Automatic Co. in Canton, MA and Georgia Pacific in Woodland, Maine. For the past four years, Bill had been living at Epoch Assisted Living in Norton with his wife Christine; prior to this time, they had lived in Foxboro and Mansfield. Over the years, he enjoyed traveling with his “Sweetheart” Christine and cherished the times spent with his adoring family, especially his grandchildren.
For over 50 years, Bill was a member of Temple Masonic Lodge No. 16 A.F. & A.M. in Cheshire, CT.
In addition to his beloved wife of 68 years, he is survived by his devoted children: William A. Felske, III and his wife Helen of West Warwick, RI, Joy E. Adams and her husband John of Norton, MA and Ann L. Gauvin and her husband David of Port Orange, FL He was the dear brother of Edwin Felske of Bloomfield, CT and the late Marilyn Sousa, and is also survived by his loving grandchildren; Candice, Andrew, Amy, Benjamin and Catherine.
Graveside services will be held privately at the Hillside Cemetery in Cheshire, CT. Visiting hours are omitted; those wishing may remember Bill with a donation in his memory made to Epoch Assisted Living, 190 Mansfield Ave., Norton, MA 02766. He was grateful for the kindness and care he received while living at Epoch.
