Obituary

Bridgewater - Robin N. (Walsh) Aikele, 50, of Bridgewater passed away Monday evening at home after a long battle with cancer with her family by her side. She was the wife of Phil Aikele.

Born Oct. 1, 1954, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of Phyllis Sandra (Koslofsky) Walsh of Del Ray Beach, Fla., and the late Jack Walsh.

After graduating from Lakeland High School in Peekskill, N.Y., Mrs. Aikele attended Suffolk Community College in Suffolk, N.Y., where she received an associate’s degree.

After marrying Phil in May 1988, she moved to Pennsylvania, and later, Virginia, before moving to Bridgewater, where she had lived the past 6 1/2 years.

Mrs. Aikele was a devoted mother and wife who was a very loving, kind and friendly person, who will be missed by all she knew.

She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and taught the young women and children there for several years.

Mrs. Aikele was also involved with her neighborhood and school activities.

In addition to her husband of 16 years and her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth (11) and Lillian (7), both of Bridgewater and a brother, Richard Walsh of Mentor, Ohio.

Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 547 Manley St., West Bridgewater. There will be a viewing from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., prior to the service, in the church.

Interment will be in Bountiful City Memorial Park Cemetery, Bountiful, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Research, 1 Harvard St., Brookline, MA 02146. Arrangements are by the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater.
