Andrew Federspiel, Jr., 87, passed away August 16,2014.
He was a member of Incarnation Church, former owner of Southern Dental Lab., Navy veteran of W.W. II serving on the Destroyer Escort 536 USS Bivin, a retired Shively Auxiliary Police Officer, a retired guard for Old Fitzgerald Distillery, and a member of the Knights of Columbus and Disabled American Veterans.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen T. Federspiel, and his four brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mildred Federspiel; sons, Andrew “Dru” (Cathy), David (Donna) ; grandsons, Todd, Michael (Allison), Joel (Ava); granddaughters, Beverly McKnight (Randy), Stephanie Smythe; nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and two sister-in-laws, Ruth Ann Miller, Brenda Federspiel, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Incarnation Church, 2229 Lower Hunters Trace with burial in St. Andrews Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
