Linda R. (Modzelewski) Goulette, age 62, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after her courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014. She was born on June 6, 1952 in Springfield, a daughter of the late Stanley and Lena (Juchno) Modzelewski. She was a communicant of St Stanislaus Basilica. Linda was a graduate of Holy Name High School, Class of 1970 and was also class president. She worked as a receptionist at the McGuire Center in Elms College for 17 years. She loved sewing, quilting and crocheting. Linda was a member of the Women of the Moose Post 1489 and a member of the Chicopee Lodge of Elks where she was a past trustee and Elk of the Year. Linda was also the co owner of Goulette and Son Heating and Air conditioning for over 30 years with her husband. She leaves her loving husband of 43 years, Donald Goulette of Chicopee; 1 daughter, Lisa White and her husband Rick of Hadley; 1 son, Donald “J.B.” Goulette and his wife Joy of Westfield; 1 brother Frank Modzelewski and her 4 beloved grandchildren, Cora White and Kaitlynn, LeeAnna and Krystyna Goulette. The family would like to thank the Baystate VNA and Hospice, and extend a special thanks to Karen, Danielle, Karen and Jackie for the wonderful care they had given during her illness. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014 from 4:00- 7:00 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. from the Grise Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Stanislaus Basilica at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial in St Stanislaus Cemetery.
