Ander Prentice Tucker, 69, of Tifton died Sunday, August 17, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Larry Layfield and Rev. Gerald Purvis officiating. Mr. Tucker will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. Roger Clayton, Mike Marchant, Tim Wiggins, Mickey Bryant, Brian Wetherald and Wayne Purvis will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, from 6:00 top 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Tucker was born on November 15, 1944 in Ocilla and was the son of Vivian Stone Tucker of Tifton and the late Marvin Winston Tucker. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Winston Tucker. He was the owner of Tucker Brothers Construction Company and a member of New River Baptist Church in Tifton.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife, Evelyn Decker Tucker of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richie and April Tucker of Tifton and Charlie and Kathy Tucker of Moultrie; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Dona Tucker of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Ricky Justice of Tifton; and four grandchildren, Erica Tucker, Kaitlin Tucker, Emily Tucker and Josh Tucker.
