TAUNTON – Mark J. Rose, husband of Amy E. (Burke) Rose, died unexpectedly on March 2, 2016. He was 47. Born in Taunton, he was the son of Rose Marie (Motta) Rose and the late Alfred J. Rose. A graduate of Bridgewater State College, he served in the Gulf War with the United States Marine Corp. Mark was employed by the Harvard Medical School as the Operations Manager. A communicant of St. Nicholas of Myra Church, he loved woodworking, volunteering with the Boys Scouts of America, Tae Kwon Do, fishing, and camping. He is survived by his children, Brayden, Benjamin, and Brooke Rose, all of North Dighton; two sisters, Beth Gould and her husband Jeffrey of Attleboro, Christine Correia and her husband Mario of North Dighton; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, Mar. 9th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Nicholas Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at MA National Cemetery in Bourne on Wednesday, Mar. 16th at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
