Antonio J. Delgado, 91, of Worcester died Sunday, August 17th in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his companion of 30 years, Joy McGinn; six sons, Antonio J. Delgado, Jr. and his wife, Indy, Joseph Delgado, Anthony Delgado, Michael Delgado, John Delgado and Timothy Delgado and his wife, Nicole; five daughters, Dianna Lewis and her husband, Bobbie, Donna Baffoe, Charlene Delgado, Danielle Delgado and Mary Croteau; three stepchildren, Gail Taylor and her husband, James, Howard McGinn and his wife, Jane and Paul McGinn and his wife, Phyllis; a sister, Mary Lou Green; his former spouse, Jessie Delgado; 22 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and 1 step great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Stephen Delgado; a daughter, Bonita Delgado; two brothers and three sisters.
He was born in Fall River the son of John and Joanna (Almeda) Delgado. Antone was a long time member of All Saints Church. He worked for Kenney Systems as a parking lot attendant and formerly worked at Holy Cross College. Mr. Delgado also worked as a barber for some time. He was member of the Elks Quinsigamond Lodge 173, a grand master with the Masons for many years and the head of the VFW Tatnuck Post 288.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 22 from 9:00 until 11:00 AM in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by a service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at 2:00 PM in Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
