Obituary

DUDLEY – Joseph E. Jaskolski, 77, of 88 West Main St., died Tuesday, Nov. 23, in St. Vincent Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 49 years, Mary A. (Betley) Jaskolski; a sister, Bernice Lavallee of Woodstock, CT; nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a sister, Theresa Jaskolski, and by a brother, Victor Jaskolski.

He was born and raised in Boston, son of Felix and Helen (Sterczala) Jaskolski, and lived here since 1949. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Jaskolski was a polisher at the American Optical Company in Southbridge for 38 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Andrew Bobola Church, the Disabled American Veterans, the American Optical Quarter Century Club, and the Webster-Dudley Golf Club.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 27, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours are from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Friday, Nov. 26, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Andrew Bobola Elevator Fund, 54 West Main St., PO Box 98, Dudley, MA 01571-0098
