Marsha Lou (Dilts) Ostler, 78, of Chesterfield passed away peacefully on August 11, 2014, after a lifetime of medical challenges.
She was born in Anderson on January 28, 1936 to Garland and Bernice (Haller) Dilts. As an only child, she was the light of their lives. Marsha’s true gift was that of her singing voice and she used it throughout her youth and middle age.
She was a homemaker whose priorities were family, home, and church. She loved animals, antiques, and going to auctions. Marsha and her husband Charlie participated in adopt a grandchild programs and spent a period of time as foster parents.
Preceding Marsha in death were her Mother and Daddy, and her husband Charles Ostler.
She is survived by her daughter, Tonya (Kevin) Satterfield of Anderson; son, Mark Ellis of Pendleton; six grandchildren, Tyler (Fiancée Megan Rohleder) Cobb, Brady Cobb, Cyerra (Treyton) Ellis Lindeau; Pfc. Matthias Ellis; Caleb Ellis, Trenton Ellis; great grandson, Parker James Lindeau; step-granddaughter, Kevina Satterfield, step-great grandsons, Calvin and Caiden; one niece and two nephews.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with burial at Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association or the Madison County Humane Society.
