Bobby Ray Baldree, Sr., 74, of Irwinville, Georgia died Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Friday, August 15, 2014 at Irwinville Baptist Church in Irwinville, Georgia, with the Rev. Jeff Cummings and the Rev. Sonny Pate officiating. Interment will follow in the Irwinville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 to 8, at The Paulk Funeral Home in Ocilla.
Mr. Baldree was born January 8, 1940, in Enigma, Georgia to the late Jasper James “J.J.” and Jeannie Giddens Baldree. He lived in the Irwinville community all of his life. He was a farmer and a textile mill supervisor for Forstmann Textiles, formerly J. P. Stevens and Modern Fibers. Mr. Baldree was a member of Irwinville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Lucy Hardeman Baldree of Irwinville; children: Robert Ray Baldree & Barbara of Byron, Debbie B. Herrin & Monroe of Sycamore, Ernie Baldree & Angela of Irwinville and Bobby Ray Baldree, Jr. of Irwinville; grandchildren: Karen Baldree, Keith Baldree, Diana Wilkerson, Jeremy Herrin, Colleen Baldree, Rhianna Baldree, Sarah Baldree, Kyle Baldree, Jessica Baldree and Clayton Baldree; great grandchildren: Jonathan Baldree, Ryleigh Wilkerson and Harlee Wilkerson; brother: Irvin Baldree of Chula and a sister: Dorothy Phillips of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Larry Keith Baldree, Sr.; four brothers and three sisters.
