METHUEN – Sr. Dolores Garriepy, 88, passed away Monday August 11, 2014 at the Saint Claire Residence of the Presentation of Mary in Methuen, MA.
Born in Biddeford, Maine, she was the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Perreault) Garriepy. Sr. Dolores entered the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1951 taking her religious name Sr. Gabriel-Maria and served the communities of Biddeford, Saco, Lewiston, Maine and Methuen, MA.
She is survived by her brother Gilbert Garriepy of Randolph, VT; 5 nephews, Paul Donald Garriepy and his wife Anne, Bruce Garriepy, Michael Madore and his wife, Marilyn, Michael Garriepy and his wife, Lois, and David C. Garriepy and his wife, Elizabeth; 7 nieces, Joyce (Garriepy) Jones and her husband, Robert, Lynn (Garriepy) White and her husband, George, Karen (Garriepy) Mills and her husband, Scott, Dawn Madore, Lena McKay and her husband, Michael, Diane Garriepy, and Robin Gagnon and her husband, Roger; 13 great nephews and nieces; and 8 great-great nephews and nieces.
Visiting hours will be Friday from 2:00p.m. – 5:00p.m. at the Saint Claire Residence of the Presentation of Mary 209 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10:30a.m. in the Chapel of the Presentation of Mary with burial to follow in the Presentation of Mary Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
