Willene S. (Wilson) Mann, 56, of New Bedford died Monday November 22, 2004 at home after a long illness. She was the fiancée of Jeffrey Costa.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Wareham, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Helen (Gifford) Ladner and the late William Wilson. She moved to Fort Myers, Florida in 1982, and returned to live in New Bedford in 1997.
Ms. Mann was formerly employed as a waitress at Davy's Locker in New Bedford and aboard the Captain J.P. in Fort Myers. She had previously worked in her family's business, Cal's Caper, in Wareham for many years.
She loved the ocean, lighthouses, going to the beach, gardening and being with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her fiancé; two daughters, Melissa Boucher, and her husband Michael, of New Bedford, and Melinda Reed, and her husband Christopher, of Lehigh Acres, Florida; three sons, James Frederick Coppedge of Roswell, Georgia, Beau Coppedge and his wife Verna, of McDonough, Georgia, and Michael Silva and his wife Monica, of Miami, Florida; a brother, Carl Wilson of McMinnville, Tennessee; three sisters, Kathryn Lake of Wareham, Jennifer Rusinoski and her husband Walter, of Mattapoisett, and Candace Gifford Steele of Tewksbury; five grandchildren, Brittany Coppedge and Lyndsey Coppedge, both of Georgia, Joshua Boucher of New Bedford, and Juliana Silva and Bryan Silva, both of Miami; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Services will be private. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Community Nurse & Hospice Care, P.O. Box 831, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
