Alexandria (Naum) Xenos, 86, of Holden, a former longtime resident of Worcester died Saturday, August 9th in Notre Dame Long Term Care. Her husband of 58 years, Richard A. Xenos died in 2012. She leaves a son, Sean Xenos and his wife, Erin of Holden; two daughters, Tara Grigas and her husband, Daniel of Douglas and Sheryl Olson and her husband, Edmund of Worcester; nine grandchildren, Derek, Brian, Kristopher, Taryn, Amanda, Richard, Allyson, Shane and Trevor; a great grandson, Chase. She was predeceased by a son, Kerry Xenos; a brother, Xhuvi “John” Naum and her grandson’s wife, Julie A. (Roberts) Olson.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Kosta and Rafaella (Madulka) Naum. Alexandria graduated from South High School and was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. She worked at Holy Cross College playing records for the students and worked at Christo’s restaurant as a hostess for many years. Mrs. Xenos devoted her time to taking care of her grandchildren and going to their games. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. She loved going out to dinner with her friends, attending family outings, shopping with her daughters and granddaughters and travelling. Mrs. Xenos was always the first to lend a helping hand when a friend or neighbor was in need.
The family would like to thank the staff at Notre Dame Long Term Care and Notre Dame Hospice for the care and support they offered during her stay.
Calling hours are Friday, August 15th from 9:30 until 11:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by her funeral Mass at 12:00 PM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street.
