Gilmanton-----John “Kip” Carlisle Richardson III, 65, of 136 Loon Pond Road, died at his home on Thursday, August 7, 2014, with his family by his side.
Kip was born January 13, 1949, in Rochester, N.H., the son of the late Edna I. (Sander) and John C. Richardson, Jr. He resided in Rochester, N.H. for several years before moving to Gilmanton forty years ago and had been employed at Globe Manufacturing for over thirty years, retiring in October 2013. He was a Sgt/E-5 in the U. S. Army, serving for three years and also served in the U. S. Army Reserves for six years.
Kip was a member of the Corinthian Lodge #82, the American Legion Post #0102, the Gilmanton Snowmobile Club and was president of the Loon Pond Dockmaster Association. He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially swimming with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-eight years, Mary E. (Stockwell) Richardson, of Gilmanton; two daughters, Raelyn Cottrell and her husband, Brian, and Raquel Adel, all of Gilmanton; two grandchildren, Isabella Cottrell and Damon Cottrell, both of Gilmanton; a sister, Carlene Tejada, of Georgia; two stepbrothers, Bob Buchanan of Alton and Curt Buchanan of Pennsylvania; four brothers-in-law, Glen Lines, Cliff Stockwell and his wife, Jan, J. R. Stockwell and his wife, Karen, all of Gilmanton and Bill Price of Gilmanton Iron Works; five nephews, Carlos, Dan, Andrew, Bill and David and six nieces, Sara, Marion, Faith, Ronda, Becky and Christine. Kip was predeceased by his parents, Edna & John C. Richardson, Jr. and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Lines and Ena Price.
There will be no calling hours.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014, at 1:00PM at the family home at 136 Loon Pond Road, Gilmanton, N.H.
