David S. Ferreira, 63, of Westport died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at St. Anne’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving companion of Wanda Miller. Born in Fall River, he was son of David and Mary Ferreira of Westport. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Milhench Supply Company in New Bedford. He attended Pacific Union Congregational Church in Westport. Mr. Ferreira enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating on the Westport River and playing his guitar in the band called the “Disciples”.
Including his parents, survivors include 2 daughters: Stacy L. Ferreira of Westport and Jill P. Calouro of Westport; 3 brothers: Dana Ferreira of Westport, Randy Ferreira of Whitinsville, MA and Jeffrey Ferreira of Westport; a sister: Leslie Belovitch of Westport; 3 grandchildren: Zachary, Jacob and Finnley; his former wife: Janet White; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
