Obituary

WORCESTER-Nikolaos D. Mikelatos, 81, of 37 Vernon Street, died Monday, November 22nd in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Vasiliki (Mantalvanos) Mikelatos, 3 daughters, Rubina wife of Mike Kyriakidis of Worcester, Nicki wife of John White of Deerfield Beach, FL, and Liberty wife of Mark Sacino of Lighthouse Point, FL, a brother, Gerasimos Mikelatos, 2 sisters, Zenovia Koune and Katerina Mikelatos all of Athens, Greece, 3 grandchildren, Amanda and Matthew Sacino and Nicole White, many nephews and nieces. A brother Giorgios Mikelatos died in 1987.

He was born in Anninata, Kefallinia, Greece the son of Dionysios and Rubina (Parameritis) Mikelatos and attended schools in Greece. Mr. Mikelatos had been an inspector for H. H. Brown Shoe retiring in 1986 and had been a construction worker in Greece. He was a wonderful husband and a proud father and grandfather. Mr. Mikelatos was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral,

The funeral is Friday, November 26th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, November 24th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
