Betty Jean (Lawler) Jordan

Betty Jean (Lawler) Jordan, 91, of Anderson, went to Heaven in peace August 10, 2014 at Community Hospital in Anderson.
She was born on January 22, 1923 in Anderson, the daughter of Virgil S. and Donna G. (Seybert) Lawler. She was a graduate of Anderson High School Class of 1940. She was employed by Anderson Community Schools for 20 years, working as bookstore manager at Highland High School. She had also formerly worked for Ideal Roofing and Coal and United Trucking Company. She was a member of Bethany Christian Church, a 50 year member of Order of the Eastern Star of Daleville #568, and member of Moonsville Home Demonstration Club, Indiana Farm Bureau, and volunteered as a Pink Lady at Community Hospital for 15 years.
Survivors include 2 children; Marsha Kimmerling of Foristell, MO and Gary J. (Laverne) Jordan of Denver, CO; 4 Grandchildren: Stephanie M. (Bruce) Baer, Dawn R. (Tom) Broer, Kristopher M. (Julie) Kimmerling, and Kelly L. (Gary) Peterson; nine great grandchildren: Braden Baer, Collin Baer, Benjamin Randak, Alex Randak, Grace Kimmerling, Faith Kimmerling, Hope Kimmerling, Landon Peterson and Anabelle Peterson; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James V. Jordan and her parents.
Services will be Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Kent Stookey officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home, with a memorial service by the Daleville Order of the Eastern Star at 7:30 p.m.
