Obituary

Steven C. George, 56, of Manchester died August 6, 2014 at his residence after a sudden illness.
He was born in Manchester on May 25, 1958, the son of Edmond M. and Joan T. (Case) George.
He was educated in the local school system and graduated in 1976 from Manchester Memorial High School.
Steve enjoyed fishing, gardening, solving crossword puzzles, and was a successful amateur boxer in his younger years. Although a Golden Glove boxer, he had a gentle and quiet demeanor. In previous years, he was the owner and operator of Steppin' Out Lounge and Jameson's Lounge. Steve will be remembered as a loving and devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend who cherished time spent with family, especially his dogs, Sheeba and Duke. Above all else, he was looking forward to becoming a grandfather in the near future.
Family members include his son Steven E. George and fiancée Sara Thomason of Texas; his sister, Robin George of Manchester, his brother Edmond M. George II and sister-in-law Cynthia (Dakoulas) Sheehan of Manchester; a nephew, Michael Domosiaris, his wife Daniela, and their daughter Sophia of Texas; close friend who was like a brother, Thomas Minuti of Manchester; his former wife and mother of his son, Karen (Poirier) George of Manchester; his cousins, Steve Pellerin of Texas, Gayle (George) Wilshire of Ohio, Shelley (George) Welch of Florida, and Donna George of Peterborough. He was predeceased by his parents, Edmond “Eddy” and Joan “Joni” George.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in Our Lady of the Cedars Church, corner of Mitchell Street and Calef Road, Manchester. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
