Patricia A. (Maguire) Grueter, age 69, of Brockton, died unexpectedly, August 9, 2014 at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital. She was the devoted wife for 48 years of the late Edward G. Grueter, who died December 28, 2013. Born in Boston, daughter of the late Francis B. and Dorothy (Barnes) Maguire, she was raised and educated in Dorchester. Patricia had been employed at the former Mutron Company in Brockton for 15 years, and then became the devoted babysitter of her grandchildren. Her family was always her focus and purpose in life.
Patricia is survived by two sons Robert Grueter and his wife June of Malden and Edward Grueter and his wife Danielle of Brockton; three grandchildren, Krystina Lincoln and Nolan and Nate Grueter; a sister Dorothy Harvey of Holbrook and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Diane Lincoln and sister of the late Ronald Maguire.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will form at the funeral home Thursday at 9:30am followed by a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
