Doris E. (LaBelle) Asci, age 84, of Brockton, died August 8, 2014 at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. Doris was the wife of the late Alphonse D. Asci. Lifelong of Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Rosa LaBelle. She was a graduate of Brockton High School and Bridgewater State College. For 37 years she was a teacher at the Brookfield Elementary School. Doris was a gifted quilter and painter and also enjoyed crafts, travel and playing the piano.
She is survived by two children Anthony M. Asci of Brockton and Susan J. Asci of Holbrook; a granddaughter Sydney Asci of Hingham; brother Richard LaBelle of Brockton; sister Jeannette Kelleher of Maine and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lorraine Gustafson.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday 5-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30 for a funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 10:30am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
