Ruthann (Leitiger) Toland, 74, of Norfolk, died August 5 in the New England Deaconess- Beth Israel Hospital in Boston from injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was the wife of the late Donald M. Toland who died in 1998.
Born in Boston, august 2, 1940, the daughter of the late Norman and Ruth Leitiger, Mrs. Toland was raised in Jamaica Plain and had lived in Norfolk since 1975.
A homemaker, Mrs. Toland had worked at the Norfolk election polls and had been active in the Norfolk Federated Church and the Norfolk Senior Center.
Ruthann was a talented painter and also enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by her children, Donna Fiori of Attleboro, Daniel Toland of West Roxbury, Michael and Dennis Toland of Norfolk.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew, Kristin, David, Kate –Lynn and Emily Fiori.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, August 11 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 11:00a.m.
Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be at a later date.
Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
