Norman J. Delorey, 80, a lifelong resident of Winchester and Retired Captain of the Winchester Fire Dept., passed away August 7, 2014. Mr. Delorey was a graduate of Winchester High School with the class of 1955, where he was recognized as an outstanding baseball player.
In his spare time, Norm was an avid gun collector and hunter. He also tremendously enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Delorey is survived by his son, John “Jack” Delorey and his wife Diane of Lawrence. He was also the dear brother of Roger Delorey of Newport News, VA and Patty Allen of Northborough, and is further survived by his beloved grandchildren; David, Craig and Brett Delorey. Visiting Hours will be held in the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Monday, August 11 from 4:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, August 12, at 10:00 AM, followed by interment in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
