Thomas J. Flaherty, 63, of Wakefield, formerly of Winchester, passed away on Aug. 6, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Marcella M. (Sheehy) Flaherty, and the loving father of Timothy F. Monkiewicz of Brooklyn, NY. He was also the dear brother of Joseph Flaherty and his wife Margo of Hampton, NH, Sheila Markiewicz and her husband John of Lynnfield, Robert Flaherty and his wife Patty of Reading, and Maureen Spezzafero and her husband Robert of Somerville, and is further survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws and cherished friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to gather at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Monday, Aug. 11 at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. Visiting Hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6PM.
