Maureen M. Lackie, 65, of New Bedford died Sunday August 3, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late David and Grace (Mahoney) Lackie, she lived in San Leandro, California for many years before returning to New Bedford 22 years ago.
Maureen enjoyed painting, animals, and Elvis Presley.
She is survived by her niece, Jenny Washington and her husband Willy and their son Matthew; her nephew, David Lackie; and her cousins, Donna Hebert and Wayne Whalley.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Dennis and Richard Lackie.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Following cremation, she will be interred with her late parents in California. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
