Obituary

Edward Kramer, 90 of Chelmsford, formerly of Woburn and Chelsea, beloved husband of the late Esther (Gladstone) Kramer died Aug 5th at the Bedford VA Hospital. Born in Lowell the son of the late Hyman & Anna (Levine) Kramer. He was raised and educated in Chelsea a graduate of Chelsea High School and continued his education graduating Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern University. An honorable discharged veteran, Edward served in the United States Army Air Corps as a Technical Sergeant during World War II. On his 8th mission he was shot down and was a prisoner of war in France and Germany for 9 months before escaping and making his way back to the American lines. Mr. Kramer had been employed by RCA as an electrical engineer prior to his retirement. Edward was a skilled bridge player and a very devoted family man.
He is survived by his sons Richard Kramer & his wife Teresa of VA & Michael Kramer of Haverhill. Loving grandfather of Margaret Olvi, Stephen, Sarah & Rachel Kramer. Great-grandfather of Taylor Kidwell & Hunter Kidwell. Relatives & friends are invited to his Funeral service Thursday Aug. 7th in the Torf Funeral Chapel 151 Washington Ave., Chelsea, at 11 AM. Burial in Farband Cemetery 16 Buxton Rd. Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations in Edwards’s memory can be made to the Friends of the Chelmsford Senior Ctr. 75 Groton Rd. No. Chelmsford, MA 01863.
