Martinez, GA – Hugh A. Dyke, 62, loving husband of 42 years to Mary G. Dyke, entered into rest on Monday, August 4, 2014.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Pastor Robert Lehn officiating.
After leaving the U.S. Air Force, Hugh worked with the Augusta City Police Department and the Augusta-Richmond County Sheriff Department for 17 years. He was a beloved son, brother, devoted husband, loving father, and proud Papaw.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his son; Andy Dyke and friend Kessler Johnson of Martinez, GA, daughter; Vickie Dorn and husband Burke of Appling, GA, mother; Mary Dyke of Dublin, GA, brother; Tommy Dyke and wife Donna of Dublin, GA, two grandchildren; Avery Dorn, Anna Dorn, his four legged friend; Buddy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
