Obituary

Robert J. Laperle Sr. 67, of Blackstone, MA died July 30, 2014 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Nancy (Antaya) Laperle. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Albert and Dorothy (Richards) Laperle. Bob was an entrepreneur and owned several businesses in Northern RI, including Bobby’s Construction Co. He was a volunteer Fireman for the Manville Fire Department. Bob was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was a member of the American Legion Post 9 and Green Cappers, and various other organizations.

Besides his wife he leaves four sons Joseph Labelle of AL, Marc Labelle of Pawtucket, James Laperle and Robert Laperle II both of Blackstone; three daughters Alison Paquin of Douglas, Kathryn Durand and Penny Laperle both of Blackstone; three brothers, Ronald Laperle of CT, Richard and Raymond Laperle both of Cumberland; two sisters Rev. Barbara Laperle of KY, and Joanne Lachance of MD; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Friday from 5-7 PM concluding with a prayer service, at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 in his memory would be appreciated.
