Obituary

SALEM, MA – Charles “Chuck” Dodge, 46, of Salem, passed away peacefully from cancer on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, surrounded by his family.

Chuck was born in Berlin, NH on July 4, 1968 to Rose M. (Dunham) and Charles F. Dodge, Jr., of Berlin. He was a graduate of Berlin High School and attended the culinary arts program at the former Vocational Technical College in Berlin.

He shared over 15 wonderful years of life with his devoted wife, Lori (Cirome) Dodge. He is also survived by his children, Emily Dodge, Amie Dodge, Elise Moustakis, Lorin Moustakis, all of Salem, Michael Albert of Portland, ME, his paternal grandmother Dorothy Marcus of Keene, NH, and many aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Chuck was employed for many years as a chef at the Shannon Door Pub in Jackson, NH, and more recently worked for 10 years at Salem Overhead Door in Salem.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #218 of Salem. He loved to cook and delighted in sharing his passion with his family and friends. He was an avid golfer and loved to be outdoors. He also enjoyed reading, was an enthusiastic Bruins fan and loved spending time and watching sports with his children. His loving demeanor and great sense of humor will be sorely missed by all.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the St. James Church, Federal St., Salem. Relatives and friends invited.
