Cecile L. (Hebert) Fontaine, 90, of Westport, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Oscar A. Fontaine.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Edward and Matilda (Doucette) Hebert, she had been a lifelong resident of Westport. She was a member of the Gold Star Mothers.
Survivors include her 5 sons: Ronald A. Fontaine of Swansea, Donald O. Fontaine of Westport, George W. Fontaine of Fall River, David R. Fontaine of Swansea and Joseph Fontaine of Westport; her daughter: Candy Thornhill of Swansea; 3 brothers: Edward Hebert of Fall River, George Hebert of Swansea and Roland Hebert of Somerset; 2 sisters: Rita LaPage of Tiverton and Lauretta Conroy of Fall River; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Normand E. Fontaine and sister of the late Albert Hebert and Lorraine T. Botelho.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, August 7, 2014 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport, at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 P.M.
Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
