Norman A. Johns, 61, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, November 20, 2004, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 22, 2004, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Emory Champion and Rev. Ralph Summerlin officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Wilcox County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Fitzgerald from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Sunday evening.
Mr. Johns was born August 14, 1943, in Coffee County, Georgia, to the late William Vilas Johns and Blanchie Mae McSwain Johns. He was a retired farmer and employee of Carter’s Fried Chicken. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Johns is survived by four brothers: Willie V. Johns, Fitzgerald; Howard L. Johns, Fitzgerald; Harley Craven Johns, Irwin County, Georgia; James Frank Johns, Thomasville, GA; three sisters: Geneva Fulford, Fitzgerald; Rosetta Johns, Fitzgerald; Jimmy Lee Burkett, Douglas, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.
