Victor "Keater" Lorenzana

VICTOR M. "KEATER" LORENZANA

Victor M. Lorenzana, 93, of Ventura passed away on Thursday night July 31, 2014 at Community Memorial Hospital with his loved ones by his side.

Mr. Lorenzana was born January 30, 1921 and was a lifetime Ventura County resident.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Roofers Union, Local 36.

Victor or "Keater as those close to him knew him was an avid sports fan from Golf to his great grandchildren's soccer fames. He spent time fishing at Casitas and hunting at Bridgeport. Victor was loved by all who knew him. He was always ready with a joke.

Victor is survived by his great grandson Dean Pelham, Jr. ; son Freddy Lara ; brother Albert Lorenzana ; sisters Dorothy Barrios, Mae Speer, and Evelyn Arellanes; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Victor was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years Mona; son Gilbert Lara ; parents Victor and Nellie Lorenzana; sister Helen Lorenzana, Barbara Barrios, and Erma Beraldo; Brother Mike Lorenzana.

Family and Friends are invited to recite a Rosary at 6pm Thursday August 7, 2014 at the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME, Ventura. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10AM Friday August 8, 2014 in San Buenaventura Mission. Interment will follow with Military honors in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.

Victor was entrusted to the care of the family owned JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE 757 E. Main Street Ventura where family and friends may visit Thursday evening from 5pm to 7pm.
