Gladys M. (Houle) Gallant, 90, of Derry, NH died Thurs., July 31st at Salemhaven.
Gladys was born and educated in Lawrence, MA, the daughter of the late Albina (Sinette) and Joseph Houle. She worked for Western Electric in North Andover, MA for many years. Gladys was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem, NH. She enjoyed playing the banjo and the organ and loved music and crocheting. She enjoyed vacationing at Lake Winnisquam.
She was predeceased by her husband Alonzo Gallant and her brother Roland Houle.
She is survived by her children, Grant Ouellette and his wife Sandra of Belmont, NH, Nancy and her husband Donald Gallant of Derry, NH, Lois Garabedian of Plaistow, NH; step-children, Denis Gallant and his wife Linda of Merrimack, NH, Brian Gallant and his wife Paula of Hooksett, NH and Jane Donohue of Goffstown, NH, her sister, Pearl Neveaux of Franklin, NH; 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Monday, Aug. 4th from 4-8 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd., Salem, NH. Burial is in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
