At the Jeanne Jugan Residence, Little Sisters of the Poor, Somerville, MA (formerly of North Reading, MA) passed away peacefully on July 31, 2014.
She was born in Iona, Prince Edward Island, Canada, on July 20, 1922, to the late Mary and Earl Gorman. She was married to the late Ernest Paul Doucette, Sr., on June 29,1946.
Alice is survived by five children; Michael E. Doucette, married to Nancy Doucette of North Reading, MA; John K. Doucette, married to Diana Doucette of Litchfield, NH; E. Paul Doucette, Jr., married to Charlene Doucette, Watertown, MA; Mary Louise Johnson, married to Hoyt C. Johnson of Bealton, VA; and, Ann Marie Doucette of Washington, DC.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and is preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Gorman (Prince Edward Island, Canada) and sister, Margaret Burbine (North Reading, MA).
A viewing will be held at Jeanne Jugan Residence - Little Sisters of the Poor, 186 Highland Avenue, Somerville on Sunday, August 3rd from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The funeral Mass will take place on Monday, August 4th, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Jeanne Jugan Residence with the burial following at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn, MA.
