UXBRIDIGE — Wendy Gaskin Shea, 60, of Uxbridge passed away Tuesday, July 29, at Rose Monahan Hospice in Worcester surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Millbury, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Gaskin and the late Lois (Mortimer) Amarant. Ms. Shea lived in Uxbridge most of her life and devoted the last seven years to helping raise her beloved grandchildren.
Ms. Shea leaves behind her brother Mark Gaskin and sister Alita Gaskin and her late sister Jackie Gaskin. She was the mother of Kristen Laliberte and her three children Mikayla, Jacob and Lily of Uxbridge, MA; Alana Phoenix and her husband Michael and their two children Jack and Cooper of Uxbridge, MA; Erin Porter and her husband Jason and their two children Bella and Jason of Milford, MA; and the late Shawna Shea. She also leaves behind her niece Alisa Laliberte of Connecticut and her son Ben. She also leaves her two beloved dogs Chewy and Miko.
Arrangements are private at the family’s request. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Ms. Shea’s life on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, 4 p.m. at the VFW Post 1385, 13 Cross Rd., Uxbridge. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street Worcester is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ms. Shea’s name to the Shawna Shea Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of UniBank, 25 N. Main St., Uxbridge, MA 01569; or the MA chapter of the ALS Foundation, 315 Norwood Park S., 1st Floor, Norwood, MA 02062.
