Mark Lott, 51, of Holt, Georgia, died Sunday, July 27, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Friday, August 1, 2014, at the Holt Baptist Church in Holt, Georgia with the Elder Edward McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in the Osierfield Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 6-8 pm, Thursday evening, July 31, 2014 at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Lott was born December 20, 1962, in Ocilla, Georgia to Jean Stroud Lott of Fitzgerald and the late Cleon Lott of Irwin County. He lived in the community all of his life and attended Irwin County High School. Mr. Lott received his diesel mechanic training from Ben Hill-Irwin Tech. He was co-owner an operator of Mark & Kason Lott Timber. He made his career in the forestry industry. Mr. Lott was a member of Henderson Chapel Church and attended Holt Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Lora Lyn Lott of Holt, children: Kason Lott of Holt and fiancé: Casey Anderson, Brooke Lott Tank & Tripp of Fitzgerald, Ansley Lott of Holt, Jessica McCullers of Live Oak, Florida and Robert Sammons of St. George Island, Florida; brothers: Glen & Patsy Lott of Holt; Jeff Lott of Fitzgerald and Tim & Karen Lott of Holt; mother and step-father: Jean Lott and Melvin Danford of Fitzgerald and step-mother: Lucille Lott of Holt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
