Willetta G. Hopper

Willetta G. (Funk) Hopper, 96, of Anderson died July 26, 2014 at Countryside Manor after an extended illness.
She was born April 22, 1918 to Stanley and Naomi (Peyton) Funk and graduated in 1936 from Anderson High School and attended one & a half years at Anderson College.
She owned and operated a private child daycare in her home for 30 1/2 years.
She was a member of Adelphia Philai; Women of the church of God; active in Church related activities and was a charter member of East Side Church of God in 1950 and more recently Park Place Church of God.
She is survived by her two sons: Stan (Maricatherine) Hopper of Anderson and Ron (Maja) Hopper of Kalamazoo, MI; two grandchildren, Benjamin (Stephanie) Hopper of Kansas; Minka Williams of Indianapolis; twin great grandchildren Paul & Peyton Williams; step grandchild, Brian Hastings of Chicago; two step great grandchildren Morgan and Mave Hastings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Denzel B. "Denny" Hopper; two sisters, Winifred King and Charlotte Mae Adams.
Service will be noon on Thursday, July 31 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Dwight Dye; Rev. Phil Bruzzesse and Dr. Don Johnson officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until noon.
