Obituary

Green Valley, Arizona-Albert F. Fraier, Jr., 78 longtime resident of Worcester County died peacefully at his home in Green Valley on July 1. He leaves his companion, best friend and love of his life, Marie E. Linder of Green Valley, formerly of Worcester County, daughters Jane A. Fraier and husband John McMaster of Boylston, Elizabeth A. Stratton and husband Guy Stratton of Houston, Texas, Carolyn M. Goodwin and husband John Wilper of West Boylston and Laura L. Carney and husband John Di Dio of West Boylston, seven grandchildren; Megan Lux, Kathleen Stratton, Benjamin Goodwin, Morgan Carney, Joseph Stratton, Anna Poplawski, and Jacob Stratton, 3 step-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert F. Fraier, Sr. and Mary Alice (Miller) Fraier, former wife and friend Beverly Jane (Millin) Fraier, and daughter Donna M. Fraier.

He graduated St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers and Holy Cross College, and received his MBA from Clark University. He worked as an executive for several major corporations throughout his career, including Oneida Ltd. Silversmiths, Pfaltzgraff, and Wallace Silversmiths. He was an avid golfer, winning many amateur tournaments, including three club championships in upstate New York in 1976. Al felt passionately about paying it forward to his community and volunteered as an ESL teacher for adult literacy programs both in Worcester County and in Arizona for many years.

Calling hours will be held at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston from 10-11:30 AM on Saturday, July 12, followed immediately by a memorial service at the funeral home.
