Thomas MacMurray, age 85, of Mystic CT, beloved husband of Julie MacMurray, died Friday, November 19, 2004. He was born December 25, 1919 in Glasgow, Scotland. His family came to the United States when he was a young child, and settled in Fall River, MA. Thomas was an Army veteran stationed in Europe during World War II. He resided in Mystic for over 50 years, and worked for the Town of Groton school system prior to his retirement.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sharon Reynolds of Palm Beach Gardens FL, and Barbara Paillard of Milford CT, and two sons Jeff MacMurray of Keene NH, and Brian MacMurray of Hope Valley RI. Thomas also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Ted, Jennifer, Christina, and Elizabeth Reynolds, and Andrea MacMurray.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, E. Main Street, Mystic on Monday at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment in Elm Grove Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago IL 60601-7633.
