Obituary

Virginia Mae (Grici) Dellorco, 89, of Franklin died July 24 at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Albert Dellorco who died in 1986.
Born in Franklin, July 4, 1925, the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela (Grieco) Grici, Mrs. Dellorco was a lifelong Franklin resident.
Mrs. Dellorco had worked for the Town of Franklin in the school cafeterias for many years. She retired as head of the cafeteria at the Horace Mann School.
Following her retirement she worked for several years as a food preparer at the former Pipinelle’s Restaurant in Franklin.
Virginia had been a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program in Franklin.
She loved to cook for her friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Donald Dellorco and his wife Mary of Hanover, Greg Dellorco and his wife Nancy of Franklin, Albie Dellorco and his wife Barbie of Franklin and Dolores Brown and her husband Jon of Franklin.
She is also survived by her sisters, Fannie Pizzi of Franklin Katherine Niedbala of Medway.
She was the sister of the late Louis, Donald, and Herbie Grici and Dolly Lomberto.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lynn, Jill, Beth, Jamie, Jake, Jason, Lyndsey, Gregory, Nicole and Matthew.
Virginia was beloved by all those who knew her.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 29 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church t 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
