Ms. Lorraine C. McEachern, longtime resident of Medford, died Sunday July 20, 2014 in the Glen Ridge Nursing home in Malden.
She was 76 years old.
Born in Somerville on May 27, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Allan J. and Madeline (Rogers) McEachern. Lorraine worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years at the former Winthrop House in Medford and upon her retirement she worked as a Crossing Guard for the Medford Police Department. She also volunteered for several years in the Gift Shop at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo and especially liked to dine out at different restaurants.
Lorraine is survived by her son, Kevin Liddell and his wife, Sue of Windham, NH; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Jason Liddell of Janesville, WI; five great-grandchildren, Jennica, Damien, Janessa, Dominic and Jackson; a sister, Frances Albino of Medford and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her companion of many years, Robert L. Liddell and her four siblings.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to meet at the cemetery entrance at 230 Playstead Rd., Medford. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-8750. Please meet at the main gate of the cemetery on 230 Playstead Rd.
