Obituary

Eleanor Ohal, Olyphant, died Wednesday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.

Born in Olyphant, daughter of the late John and Stella Ozga Ohal, she was a graduate of Olyphant High School, and attended business school.

Before retirement, she was employed by the state of Pennsylvania in the Bureau of Employment Security. She was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Olyphant, and the choir and ladies society at St. Michael's Church in Olyphant.

She was an avid Yankees fan, and enjoyed bingo at St. Mary's Church in Dickson City. She organized many trips to the Atlantic City casinos over the years, but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are cousins, Mary Keyasko and husband, John, Dickson City, and their children, Michael and Michelle; Ann Mack and husband, James, Olyphant, and their children, Ryan and Adam; and Carolyn Stumpf and husband, Harry, Clarks Summit.

The family would like to thank the staff at Willowbrook Senior Living Community in Clarks Summit for their kindness shown to Eleanor.

A funeral Mass will be conducted today at 1:30 p.m. in Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick's Church in Olyphant. Entombment will be at St. Mary's Visitation Mausoleum in Dickson City.

According to Eleanor's wishes, there will be no viewing.
