Kenneth A. Douglass, 54, of Fairhaven died July 24, 2014 at home after a long battle with ALS surrounded by his family; beloved wife Mary (Sylvia) Douglass and his beautiful daughters Casey and Brooke.
Born in Columbus, Ohio on February 29, 1960, he was son of Richard and Vivian (Paynter) Douglass of Fairhaven. He was a longtime resident of Fairhaven and truly loved the town and its people.
Ken was a lifelong athlete and enjoyed running, he also had a passion for music, reading, cooking with his wife and had a remarkable talent for picking friends.
Survivors include his wife, daughters and parents; 2 brothers, Stephen Douglass and his wife Pam, Chris Douglass and his partner Martina Methner; a sister, Elizabeth Douglass; his mother-in-law, Rita (Couto) Sylvia; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the son-in-law of the late Jack Sylvia.
His visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-7 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett.
