Reunited at the gates of Heaven with his own beloved father, James P. Tunney formerly of Westwood and Mayo, Ireland. Treasured son of Margaret (Faherty) Tunney of Norfolk, formerly of Westwood and Galway, Ireland.
Beloved brother of John and his wife Cynthia of Sandwich, Thomas of Norfolk and Lisa and her husband Mark of Norfolk. Loving and jubilant uncle of Angela Tunney of Sandwich and Peter, Hannah and Sean Scibilia of Norfolk.
Nephew and cousin of many special aunts, uncles and cousins in the Boston area, Ireland, England and Australia.
Also survived by the loving mother of his son, Jiovana Bercan of Miami and her family. Loved and supported in life by many wonderful friends.
Jim was a talented craftsman and carpenter who took great pride in his work, but his greatest joys in life were his cherished son and his adoring nieces and nephews.
Jim’s Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa of Avila Church, 2078 Centre St., West Roxbury on Thursday, July 24th at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited and are encouraged to wear something colorful in celebration of Jim’s life. Visiting hours private. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
