Maria doCarmo (Rocha) Ledo, age 86 of Somerset, passed away July 21, 2014. Born in Santo António alem Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, she was the wife of the late José Ledo and the daughter of the late José and Maria (Abran) Rocha. Prior to retiring, Maria worked for San-Toro Mfg. as a sewing machine operator, and was a parishioner of St. John of God Church.
She is survived by her children: Joseph Ledo of Somerset, Antonio Ledo (late wife Natalia) of Swansea, Mary Cabral (husband Joseph) of Westport, and John Ledo (wife Genoveva) of Somerset; 2 sisters: Deolinda Camara of Fall River and Alvira Viveiros of Somerset; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late José, Antonio, & João Rocha.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on THURSDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
