Obituary

NORTH ANDOVER – George I. Dague, 85 of North Andover, MA passed away peacefully Saturday July 19, 2014 at the Academy Nursing Home in Andover, MA.
Born in Portland, Oregon, he was the son of Charles and Irene (Rogers) Dague. George graduated from Baker High School, earned his bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State and his masters degree from North Eastern University. During the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged from service. For 50 years George was employed as an electrical engineer with Western Electric in North Andover, MA.
He was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling, gardening and home projects. George served as Chairman of the Cable Advisory Board in North Andover and also coached soccer and baseball. His spirit will live in the hearts of his loved ones.
Beloved husband, father and grandfather, George leaves his wife of 46 years, Janice (Patterson) Dague of North Andover; one daughter, Deanna M. Dague also of North Andover and a son, Charles P. Dague and his wife Alexandria of Windham, NH; one grandson, Eli D. Dague.
One sister, Kathryn DeMaris of Seattle, Washington; brother-in-law, Dr. William J. Patterson and his wife Arlene and a sister-in-law Charlene Joseph. Several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Veterans Outreach Center 10 Reed St. Haverhill, MA 01832. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Wednesday from 4:00PM – 7:00PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844.
