Obituary

Donald E. Lundgren of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, died on Sunday, July 20, at the age of 92. He was born on April 21, 1922 in Andover, Massachusetts, to Everett M. Lundgren and Ruth (Manson) Lundgren. He moved to Wolfeboro and to Bradenton, Florida in 1984 after retiring from the Lundgren Funeral Home in Andover, which had been a family-owned business since 1913.

Mr. Lundgren was a proud WWII Army veteran, having served in the European Theatre.
He was a member of St. Matthew's Lodge AF&AM in Andover and of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Lowell, Lawrence and Boston.

Predeceased by his parents and his brother, Malcolm, Donald is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marjorie (Howes) Lundgren of Wolfeboro; daughter Karen Parker and son-in-law Edward; daughter Bonnie Sanborn and son-in-law James; son D. Richard Lundgren and daughter-in-law Nancy; grandchildren E. Christian, Holly, and Susannah Parker, Rebecca and James Sanborn, Kristina Mendes and her husband Arthur, and R. Scott and Andrew Lundgren, as well as seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, July 24, at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home at 35 Merrimack Street, North Andover. The family will welcome visitors beginning at 2:00 and has requested that any remembrances should be made to charities of personal choice. The burial will be private.
