Elizabeth Jessie Rose, 89, passed away peacefully on July 14 in North Andover, MA. Betty was born October 12, 1924, on Staten Island, NY, the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Walker) and Alistair Longair. She graduated from Curtis High School in Staten Island, NY, in 1943, and received her degree in nursing from Wagner College in 1947. She worked for many years as a labor and delivery nurse.
Betty lived in the Netherlands, Michigan, and, for many years in Franklin Lakes, NJ, before moving to North Andover, MA. She was predeceased by her loving husband of fifty years, William Bailey Rose, Sr. She is survived by her three children: Beth Coolidge (and her husband Clinton), Barbara Rose Anderson, and William B. Rose, Jr. (and his wife Christine), and five grandchildren: Alison Coolidge, Kyle Coolidge, Molly Anderson, Bryan Rose, and Erin Rose. Always well traveled, Betty is now surely exploring the universe and its mysteries, husband Bill by her side.
