FRAMINGHAM: Kevin Doherty died on July 16, 2014 in Framingham.
Kevin was the son of the late Owen Joseph Doherty and Kathleen Madeline (Jacobs) Doherty.
Husband of Joan Ellen Flaherty. Father of Blaine Owen Doherty and Ian Jacobs Doherty and his wife Sinead Layton Doherty. Grandfather of Finn Reilly Doherty, Nuala Grace Doherty and Grayson Reed Doherty. Brother of John Thomas Doherty and his wife Patricia Plunkett and the late Hugh Michael Doherty and Sheila Doherty. Also survived by Hugh’s wife Mary Pierce Doherty. Kevin is also survived by several cousins, nephews and his lifelong friend Bill Boudreau.
Kevin was a former VISTA in several capacities in the United States. Subsequent to VISTA, he was employed by the City of Cambridge, MA with the Department of Health and Hospitals and with the United States Postal Service.
Kevin’s wake will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 9:00 am followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Zepherin Church, 99 Main St (Rte 27), Wayland.
Burial will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn.
